Welcome to Hellenic Small Molecule Center (HSMC). HSMC is a user open-access infrastructure, established in 2018 as a part of the broader consortium for Chemical Biology OPENSCREEN-GR, and it serves as the National depository of small molecules in Greece. HSMC provides state-of the-art storage, handling and evaluation of purity for natural and synthetic compounds. Our main objectives are: collecting, evaluating, organizing, and preparing ready-to-use small molecules samples for biological screening. Besides that, HSMC serves as a center of excellence for the modification and optimization of “lead compounds”, goals realized by a group of synthetic organic experts. We hope that this website will become for many of you an informative and valuable tool and a source of inspiration for the drug discovery of tomorrow.
